CAPITAL CAMPAIGN – 100 BEDS ARE POSSIBLE
BBM saw an opportunity to expand its ministry and increase its bed count from its present 76 to over 100 beds by purchasing the vacant building at 1628 2nd Avenue North. The 2-story, 10,000 s.f. building would allow for an additional 28 beds and offer more space to carry out its programming designed to change men’s lives.
The price for the overall project is finalized at 2.6 million dollars. Work was originally divided into two phases but the urgency of the need led us to consider completing the whole project. The current construction climate has increased costs significantly, says Executive Director, Jim Etheredge, but when I think of the lives that will be changed and the families that will be restored, I think it is worth it.
